How to move plex server from a mac mini to a Synology Nas

Hey guys how are you?

 

So I've just bought a Synology DS1815+.

My inicial idea was to use it as storage and keep my server on my mac mini.

 

To make this a short story I have another smaller nas, a readynas 104N.

This works great for storage but not so much as a server.. I've tried and it wasn't powerful enough.

Basically I stream files around 20-30 gb, so I need something power.

 

But I was reading that this synology can handle both, so I want to try it..

but I'm not not able to follow the instructions on the NAS part..

can somebody please help me?

I can tell you that even though the synology is more powerful I still have issues with transcoding media (one stream is  so so for working right) anything beyond that you can forget it.  I would keep your mini as your PMS personally.

Were you able to do it? I am trying to move my library but no luck.
