How to name this. (Episode Special)

Hi,

I integrate the special episodes into the seasons and enter the metadata by hand. This works when the special episodes take place before the season (E00) or at the end of the season.

But sometimes the special episode is, according to the time line, between two episodes. (example :Doctor Who (2005) episode The Snowmen )

This episode is between episode 5 and 6 of season 7.

When I didn’t use plex yet I named it : Doctor Who S07 E05.5 SPECIAL.

With the windows file explorer it came in order. But with plex, it is no longer displayed

Is there a way to name the file so that in plex it is between episode 5 and 6 without shifting all the metadata of the following episodes of the season ?

Plex doesn’t support half-episodes. So what you’re aiming for cannot be done.
You might achieve this by using a different episode ordering, e.g. TheTVDb DVD order which is organizing the specials inside the main seasons.

Certainly but in the case of naruto shippuden the DVD order is not made.

(and I think if I name it what I want some people won’t be happy)

I named as if episode 5 was in 2 file (E05 -pt1 and E05 -pt2)
