I have my plex server installed on an imac and all files are on an external hard drive.

I had to manually modify the information (metadata) of almost all the files, title correction, synopsis, covers …
Now I need to format my imac (I always format the imac “from scratch”) and then I will reinstall the plex media server application. Years ago I did it and I lost all those changes that I had made in the information of the movies, the (metadata).
How can I do so that these changes are not lost and then retrieve them in the installation of the application in the new imac.
Do I save them somewhere and then recover them in the new installation?
What I can do ??
