How to pull only videos from photo folder

I have a “home videos” category in Plex player which is connected to home videos folder in my NAS. I would also like to pull videos from my photos folder in NAS, but only videos, not photos. Is there a way to pull only filtered content (videos), so that all my home videos end up into one place?

Or alternatively, perhaps I can solve it differently. My photos and videos are automatically uploaded from my smartphone to NAS photo folder. Can I set up automatic upload (iOS Synology Photos or DS File apps) so that photos end up in photos folder and videos in home videos folder?

The obvious way would be to use an Other video type library – this won’t scan/add your photos to start with.
Alternatively / in addition you could use a .plexignore file in the photos folder and tell Plex to ignore the photos that way. Downside… this will also block your photos to be added to an actual Photos type library.
