This is not a bug, but a question. I know that the news tomorrow will be covering the impeachment debate in the Senate, and I won’t be able to watch it, so I want to record it. But my TV guide shows the regularly scheduled programs. I guess I could just record all those programs, but then I would have to hunt them down and figure out how to watch them in order. Is there a way to tell the DVR function to record a certain channel starting on a date and time for a specified duration?
This is a common request, but it not currently available. Hopefully it is on the roadmap!

There was a feature request to add this functionality in 2016.
And I recall the Plex CTO commenting at least once that it would be a good feature. But sadly there has been no progress on this basic DVR request in the 4+ years since it was raised.
very interesting functionality as well as the possibility of recording a series of programs which have the same name (example: all episodes of masterchef)
