How to run Plex Server in a Mac Pro 1.1 with macOS 10.7

Hi, I have an old Mac Pro 1.1 as my Plex Server. Few weeks back, stop working in the Apple TV. In Apple TV is showing that I need a newer version in the Server, but I can’t find a version that runs in macOS 10.7. Anyone can help me ?

Probably not. At some point, hardware gets too old to support new features.

I have no idea if this will help but you might want to check out Emby. https://emby.media/ (looks like it will run on 10.6.3 / Snow Leopard, System Requirements · MediaBrowser/Wiki Wiki · GitHub)

I think you need a 64bit EFI for any current server version. I believe there are ways to maybe hack your MacPro to run something later than 10.7 but beyond that I think you’re out of luck. (I may be wrong)

I wonder if you can bootcamp it and use Windows for PMS? :slight_smile:
