Hi i have hauppage wintv quad hd and i should be able to use all four tuner but only can setup two of them. I can setup two no problem but i unable to setup the other two if someone could assist or explain how to set it up it be much appreciated
I do not have any Hauppauge devices so have never configured them but from the Supported-DVR-Tuners-and-Antennas page and from reading other threads on the forum other users have had to add a second device to their DVR setup to get the other 2 tuners. Go to Settings/Server/Live TV & DVR, and click the Add Device link at the bottom.
Here is the note from the Supported DVR Tuners and Antennas page:
- WinTV-quadHD: This device will show up as two dual-tuner devices. You can simply add it as two devices to a single Plex DVR to make use of all four tuners.
As @johnm_ColaSC said, add device to add the second set of tuners.
thanks im so dumb jeez yea shows up as two lots of tuners now all them show
Can I ask a question slightly related to this?
If I have 2 separate tuners, ie a DVB-T and also a DBB-S tuner, can I select 2 completely different EPG’s for them? In other words, currently when I set up my HDHomerun I select the local region for Ireland and get Saorview which is correct. However when I then add my satellite tuner, I can only use the terrestrial channel list.
Is there a way to assign different channel epg guides to separate tuners?
@shaneosullivan At this time, no you can’t have a separate EPG for different tuners. Sorry!
Is it possible to record tv at a file size not too big 3gb for a half hour show seems excessive and i used handbreak to make it smaller it was 500 mb under settings at the 25 point which is the best position to have it with losing too much quality and i dont notice any difference in quality when streaming it seems to do a good job take a while though but this will need to be automated with correct settings and delete old file as long as there no issues with compression.
