I Have a Plex Lifetime Pass, trying to replicate how sonos handles compilation music files/ albums,
I have home made albums with an album Artist as “2010’s Hits”
within this Artist i have albums say “Singles 2019”, all tracks tagged as a compilation album, with all meta data.
my question is how do i get plex to show the embedded track/album art, per track in the now playing section or when browsing the album, like sonos does pic attached
any help greatly appreciated as not found anything yet
This is not possible. Plex only supports ‘album art’, not ‘song art’.
Plex doesn’t support home-made albums very well either (particularly not such big ones), so you better build a smart playlist but leave the tracks organized inside their original single/album releases.
It would solve your request to have individual album art.
Doing it that way enables you to combine those tracks in new ways too. Like employing the ‘artist radio’ or making a (smart=self-updating) playlist of just tracks from the year x and more.
