I have collected comics which I want to read on my TV screen and on my iPad. Each file has a consecutive number. To follow the stories I need to show them in the right order from e.g. 1 to 30. Plex shows them like 1, 10,11,12…19, 2 , 20, 21 and not in the proper order of 1,2,3 etc.
Is there anywhere a click or button to tell Plex to sort them by numbers rather than by name. This is a big issue for me and I would appreciate any hint how to do this.
The easiest way I know is to number your pictures with leading zeroes: 01, 02, 03, etc.
If your numbering goes to 3 digits, you’ll want to use two leading zeroes.
Hello to everybody who could find an answer. It is just crazy: I need to show scanned comics pictures (10,000 by now) in the order of their names by number. As an example I see pictures from 1 to 32 in the Windows explorer in the correct order. After Plex takes over I see them in the order 23,1,2,3,…21,24,25,…31,32,22. No matter how many “0” I add in front - the same crazy effect. I am running out of my wits as I tried all kinds of variations - always the same wrong order. Has anyone an idea how to solve this “Plex-Problem” ?
One more observation: Plex puts the names in the proper order - however sometimes without any obvious reason - the order is not correct. Example: The order in the Windows explorer is …Nick12-27, Nick12-28, Nick12-29, Nick12-30, Nick12-31, Nick12-32. In Plex I find Nick12-27, Nick12-28, Nick12-29, Nick12-30, Nick12-32, Nick12-31. Plex just refuses to put the pictures in the proper order and I have no clue why this happens. This happens all the time - but not always! The idea to put “000” up front has no effect on this. Would really appreciate help to use Plex as I need it.
