How to stop Plex Media Player from auto-updating?

Continuing the discussion from Plex Media Player:

It looks like I’m stuck using Plex Media Player v 2.50.0. I need keep my plugins working for my trakt plugin to keep my two Plex boxes in sync with their watched status.

My question is, every time I launch PMP v2.50.0, it updates to v2.52.2 on the next restart. To keep using v2.50.0, do I have to keep downloading it from the announcements channel every time I want to use it?

In the player, go to the user icon on the top right, select settings, and in Main de-select Automatic Updates =>

You can’t. you need to do it in TV mode then switch back to desktop mode.
