Anyone know how to stop Plex from automatically trying to MATCH files that are loaded into the application? Every time it tries to match anything, it is wrong and I get tired of having to unmatch everything. Would rather it just not waste it’s and my time.
You can set a library up as “Other video” and then it will not be scanned.
But generally problems like you mention are related to naming or embedded metadata for mp4 files. The bad naming is the problem 95% of the time.
I follow Plex naming standards and 99% of the time Plex’s matching is perfect. The first thing I suggest is that you get your naming correct and that you also move “Local media assets” below everything else in agents for both movies and shows.
