I have received a WTF from a polite, ongoing discussion and I would like a moderator to contact me. How is this done?
I have received several that I don’t understand but I just ignore them. They are really meaningless.
Clicking a button is easy. Explaining why and presenting an argument in support thereof, not so much. The clicks; like, dislike, wtf, lol or anything else is just about as worthless as anything on a forum can be. Ignore it and remember that the infants in diapers that use such to berate or even support are not expressing anything of more value than the normal contents of those garments.
One problem is that this is a world wide forum, if English is not your native language then people can misinterpret the wording used, or misunderstand the tone of the post. I seem to get a few of these for personal opinion (sometimes expected), what annoys me is when I offer correct advice on an issue I get them, WTF!
As @Elijah_Baley says, don’t worry about it.
Regards
I’m not sure which would bother me more… getting them… or knowing who handed them out.
The old forum used to tell you where you stood, and with whom you were standing.
You can crawl the HTML if you really want to see who gave it to you. I usually get them when I’m trying to be funny and failing. Ned gave me one the other day for just such a scenario
It’s usually nothing to worry about. I like to think of it as a combination of LOL and WTF!

Or who you were standing (or stomping or something else) on?
vastinator deserved that one IMHO, but thats the problem it is only one persons opinion! Now, if you got more than 1 on any post I would start worrying. :((

Agreed.
Got lots of dislikes and not even a badge for it
