How to Update PMS running in Docker on Qnap NAS

I am using @ChuckPa 's DockerPlex shell script on a TS-453D. I installed this and enabled HW acceleration a week or so ago.
I just saw the PMS says I should update.

I downloaded the .deb and tried to do a manual install. It gave me an error - “due to file format error”.

I have updated this way (pre Docker) before. Not sure of the procedure to update now that it’s running in a container.

The only way I know how to upgrade the container is to delete the container, update the image and create the contain again.

Hopefully you saved the script on the machine?

If you have that script, just run it again.

It deletes the existing container (but not the data)
It deletes the image file
It then downloads the updated image and creates the container again

Personally, I prefer running with the 1.24.5 PMS version. I’ve found a few issues with 1.25.0+ which I’m waiting for Engineering to resolve.

I will also hold off on the upgrade a bit.
Once I’m ready, I will do as you described.
