Did you replace the old trailers.pem with the new trailers.pem?
I have managed to get it working :)
What was the issue, if you don’t mind me asking?
Any chance we can get iMovie as the permanent solution instead of trailers?

baa, roidy? I know that I would agree with this idea, how about you brilliant, beautiful people?
Might be a big pain for the majority of the user base that is happy with how things are and those who aren’t as interested in fiddling around like many of us here.

A valid point institute. Guess if iMovie Theatre had been around at the beginning, or closer to, then it makes more sense.

I can't help it... iMovie is not on my aTV. iOS 5.2.something. :-D
That too.
Thanks for the replies. I had a chance to try it last night. I could indeed add both certificate files to a single .mobileconfig file, and I uploaded that via the "Add a Profile" option on the ATV (highlight "send Data to Apple" and press Play on remote, then go through and specify a URL to upload a .mobileconfig file), replacing the existing one with my new one.
Seems to work perfectly. Trailers app is now back to being the trailers app and iMove Theater is the entry point for PlexConnect. It does seem a little slower, as in the GUI side of things, but that might just be a placebo affect. Playback of media is still as quick as normal.
Netflix still works (I am using unblockus / netprotect to pretend I'm in the US - I'm in Canada).
I'm happy :-)
I'm in Canada too. Any chance you could give me some pointers on how you make US Netflix work, I've had nothing but dead ends?

>> unblockus
It's a service provider providing US based proxy servers.

I'm using UnoTelly which uses a DNS-based system. This can be configured into any router and not only the ones supporting VPN.
You put the unotelly or unblockus DNS in the settings.cfg file where it asks for the ip_dnsmaster.
Great topic! every thing is working for me excepted Vevo app...
I'm using now iMovies app and I have the latest build of PlexConnect
If you follow all the steps here, and are still getting the “iMovie Theatre not available” message, try removing the cert profile from the ATV, recreating it from scratch in Configurator, and then re-adding it — did the trick for me, anyway.
Having a bit of a problem, ATV3 IOS 6.0.2, connecting to my plex server 9.8.18, plex connect is working and running because the trailers app is functioning (I am trying to hijack iMovie Theater). I have reinstalled and recreated the certs on the ATV a few times but no matter what I do I get iMovie Theater is not avail. If I put back my old cert in plexconnect then trailers works with plex again so I am certain the profile is installed correctly. I have both certs installed at the same time on the atv.
If you move to iMovie, don’t you need to load an iMovie cer profile into the ATV?
The settings.cfg just has to be changed to intercept www.icloud.com rather than trailers.apple.com

I have made that change running latest commit from plexconnect

I have created a new cert for www.icloud.com per the instructions.
Ran this
openssl req -new -nodes -newkey rsa:2048 -out ~/Desktop/trailers.pem -keyout ~/Desktop/trailers.key -x509 -days 7300 -subj "/C=US/CN=www.icloud.com"
Followed by this
then installed certs on atv3 using apple config on my mac mini
copied files over to my windows box running plex and plexconnect
modified my settings.cfg to intercept www.icloud.com
I see plexconnect working when I open other apps on atv as I see the forwarders in the log
