HTPC is missing critical open – adjusting which monitor to actually display on.
I should NOT have to rearrange the config on my media pc to meet the requirement of one program when all else is working.

HTPC will open on the last monitor that was used.
I have a dual monitor setup on my HTPC.
Plex HTPC always opens on my main large display as expected. My second display (small LCD monitor) is for working on server stuff if I need to whilst media is playing on the main screen.
Windows 10.
On Windows at least it doesn’t if you change from fullscreen in the settings, move HTPC then fullscreen again, it always opens on the Windows primary screen once you close HTPC.
If you Alt-Enter to exit fullscreen, move HTPC then Alt-Enter again to return to fullscreen, then it’ll always stay on that screen after closing HTPC or restarting Windows.
An option in the settings menu like PMP has would be really good though.
I can’t reproduce this. It always opens on the last monitor used. Here are the steps I tried.
I repeated the above a few times and it always opens full screen on the monitor used last.
Something you can check. In your Plex HTPC app data folder, there is a plex.ini file. Open this in a text editor and look at the very bottom. There will be a line similar to this
screen=\\.\DISPLAY6
That tracks what monitor is used. Check after moving monitors to see if this changes. For me 6 is monitor 1 and 7 is monitor 2. Mine always has the correct one listed after I move the program around.
Same Problem, it only opens on my ultrawide (which is the default monitor) instead of the last used one.
Changing screen= did absolutely nada, nothing 0
I can’t move the app when it is open to another monitor that is my complaint.
So what happens when you try? Moving to another monitor is controlled by Windows.
