I just downloaded Plex HTPC for Windows. Immediately I see that Mouse-Scrolling does not work.
The Mouse is the most common input device for the PC, bar none.
Seriously … Plex decided to ignore this fact ??? 1st Jaw Drop !
Then, when I discovered this … while I was going to purchase a lifetime Plex Pass … that there is NO Technical Support for PAYING Customers ??? 2nd Jaw Drop !
Both are ridiculous ! This seems to be a growing trend with Tech Companies, pushing out bug-filled products with no PROACTIVE way to resolve.
Waiting to hear back in a Forum is NOT Technical Support !
Keyboard more common TBH, especially in a HT situation - my home theatre keyboard has a pad included - never used or needed a mouse with Plex HTPC. The keyboard does work with Plex HTPC in a limited way just as a mouse does (I use my nav keys on my K400+ a lot plus a number of other keys and the pad, some of which are mapped to functions via FLIRC).
However, Plex HTPC is designed for a remote. Always has been that way.
A clue is in the name- Home Theatre PC experience…
I really want this, I’ve been using plex to binge anime, but the plex for windows app has a 10 second delay between eps and the htpc app doesn’t have mouse support. I’m in a predicament right now because it’s either keeping a keyboard in my lap or picking up my mouse after every episode.
