Hundreds of show appear in my library after adding liveTV

Hi,

after setting up my the liveTV and DVR in plex I saw over 400 new TV show in my library. They are all empty files. when i clic on detail it look like those are link with the future brodcast on the channel I receive by air.

For me THIS IS BAD because i can’t find my show that i actually HAVE in my server. I tought that the only show that would appear in my tv show are the one that is being recorded + the one already on my server. the “GUIDE” should be THE place to look for future show that i may be interested, but when i go to my library i want to listen something… so if i clic on any of the 400 new show added recently i can’t watch it because it has not been brodcast yet.

HOW to remove the future airing show from the library?

That doesn’t sound right. Can you provide a screenshot?

Things should not be added to your library just by setting up a DVR. It sounds more like you have your TV show library pointed to a location on your drive that is also being used by something else related to the DVR. Check the actual location you have your library pointing to including subfolders and see if these shows are somehow appearing in there.

the recording were set to go to the TV show, but from my side the only folder created was “.grab” which have only recording or the channel i was watching at the moment and nothing else.

i am running on FreeNAS, so the way the storage work is a little tricky, so it is possible that on the jail side it was putting the future show in the folder that was linked to my TV Show.

I actually resolve the problem by re scanning all movie and all TV show. now they are not in my library “TV show”

for future record: when adding DVR the first time I think plex create from the guide 2 library (Movies, and TV show), because all my movie where in the library “Films” so plex created “Movies” which separated the 2, but for some reason it associate “TV show” with my library “Séries TV”.

also after having resolve that problem i deleted my DVR
change some setting in PMS:
I tick those 2 setting

  • analyse my library automatically
  • launch partial scan when change is detect

and re-setup it and there was no weird issue with the 400 futures show going in my own library. I don’t know if it is linked or not, but worth mentioning
