HW Decoding/Encoding Always Fails

Server Version#: Win10 1.25.2.5319
Player Version#: Plex Web 4.72.0

HW Transcoding on my Intel i5-10210U has not worked since at least the latest update, but I suspect it was the first 1.25.0 version with the ffmpeg and transcoder updates that broke it. My log is from the Web player, but it’s broken on my AndroidTV devices as well.

The log indicates that the dxva2 decoder and mf encoders are initially selected, but fail and resort to the software decoder/encoders.

Yes, it seems to be the same issue. It looks like making Quicksync compatible with the latest processors broke it on the older ones. Not ideal

So I just updated to the latest Intel UHD Graphics on my server and HW Transcoding is working again!

As a bonus, it also fixed a long-standing issue with HW Transcoding failing on all mp4 files when played on an Android (mobile and TV) device. This is the first time it’s ever worked since moving my server to the NUC.
