HW Transcoding not working

@ChuckPa Not sure if this helps, but Transcode on my Ubuntu server fails also, I rolled back to the previous beta and voila all back and working. It’s a definite issue. Sorry I know this isn’t a Ubuntu thread, but thought I’d let you know that the recent update of the beta across the board on my i5 3330 with the Nvidia GTX-750Ti is also the same as the Synology and Qnap issues…

Dave

which are you using for transcoding? The i5-3? or the Nvidia? (what does Preferences.xml show?)

May I see the logs of the failure (DEBUG - Not VERBOSE)

@ChuckPa I use the Nvidia GTX750ti for transcoding, and would the logs still have the newer version of PMS listed even after a downgrade? I wouldn’t even attempt to use the i5 3330 for transcoding, did once, but OMG it almost cooked itself

@ChuckPa Did the logs help? It’s getting late here 0235 am and I’m about to hit the pillow before my partner knocks me out lol Welsh girls, gotta keep on the food side and finally our association 2 year old daughter is asleep! Ah, Plex is useful on the Roku devices, keeps her quiet and my partner to

Dave

They don’t impact the libdrm issue but I’m still going through them

(Only see 192.168.1.243 advertizing on port 9080 with something not quite XML when it should be - or don’t respond at all)

Nope, not on my server, so it’s still broken, I’ve gone back to an earlier version till it’s fixed!

Dave

@trumpy81 it’s not just Synology NAS it fails on Nvidia GPU servers to! This is a definite issue, I’ve reverted back to 2332 till a fix is found… I can’t help much as I’m in the middle of a house move…

Dave

@trumpy81 issues here on the last 2 updates under Ubuntu 18.04LTS running Nvidia gtx750ti are that it goes into encode but fails to initialise decode even using devices like Roku, or Tablet/Smartphone.
If I can get time I’ll install it again and do the 2 minute test and will put my logs on here!
