I can only watch one tv show and then have to restart plex media server

I can’t tell what is happening but it’s been happening for awhile and I’m just frustrated. I use the Plex player app on my Samsung tv to access my Plex media server, both are on the same network. The tv is connected by wifi and the Plex media server running on a mac mini is connected by ethernet to the router/wifi hotspot.

Pretty consistently I’ll watch one tv show in the Samsung player and then after it is done I’m not able to scroll to the right to see the rest of the shows in any horizontal list and when I try to have the Samsung player load another view, like Movies recommended, it will fail. Checking the server status in the Samsung player doesn’t help to establish a connection. I can only get things back on track if I walk over and log into the mac mini and quit the Plex media server app and then restart it and then quit the Samsung plex player and restart it.

I would try rolling back your server version.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don’t think that is the problem since this has been going on for awhile, like months. I was hoping Plex would notice and know or suggest something. I wonder if it has to do with the Tizen player.

Can anyone from Plex respond to this please? I’d like to figure out what is wrong with my Plex server. It basically only allows me to watch one show and then I have to restart it in order to watch another show.
