Been having issues playing movie...

For the past 2-3 weeks, I’ve been having issues playing movies on my devices (iphone, apple TV) where we start a show or movie and it stops midway and have to restart plex server to bring it back. Never had those issues before.

“Some” detail is needed. Not the least will be details on the OS or NAS you’re using (name and version) and the version number of Plex you’re running (the actual number, not some vague reference to the latest please). More information on the clients won’t hurt (including the version of the Plex client) and whether when it hangs on one client it works for another show/movie on another client before you restart PMS.

It would help a lot too if you could provide the relevant logs from PMS, so that those who can read them can tell whether there’s an obvious issue showing up there.

running version 1.2.2? roll it back and use earlier version. Seems to be happening to a few people i have talked with.

I’m running server at 1.1.4.2757 and player at 2.10.7 and still having the issues…this is getting annoying and as a plex pass subscriber not the experience I expect.

Please see my previous post - we need information if we’re going to help you. What are you running the Plex server on (eg, Windows 10) and what client are you using?

Running on macosx Sierra 10.12.1 (server) on an iMAC Late 2013 2.7GHx intel Core i5 with 8GB RAM with 1TB drive (384 GB available) and playing on Apple TV Gen 3, Xbox One and iPhone mostly all encountering same issues.

Here’s the thing there hasn’t been any change in my computer except a recent update to MacOSX Sierra. Why the sudden problems with Plex and it’s been ongoing for a while with no clear answers from anyone. I did provide information on my machine can someone help me or my days using Plex are over?

You might get a better response on the OS X sub-forum, particularly if you provide the logs (for a time that the problem occurs) I reference above.
