I can’t access free Movies/TV/Plex Picks

Hi there. I’ve been a lifetime Plex pass holder for quite some time. For some reason, I can’t access Live TV, Plex Picks, Movies & TV. When Plex announced the partnership with A24 that was very exciting although I’ve seen most of their catalogue already. Still, clicking on any of the “Watch Now” buttons via the cinephile emails or the Plex website, it just takes me to the app where it lists where I can watch it (for example, Apple TV, Amazon Prime)

I’ve checked via multiple devices, there is no section in my Plex player apps to access any of these things. I remember there being a dedicated section in the player apps for all of this stuff, including live tv, but I never checked it out. Now that I’m looking for it though, it’s all disappeared. What am I missing something here?

  1. make sure you haven’t disabled “Movies & TV” on this page: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/online-media-sources
  2. use a supported Plex client (i.e. not a 3rd-party or deprecated, nor a generic DLNA player)
  3. if you are using the plex web app, make sure you have support for DRM enabled in it and that there are no active “ad-blockers”, or “script blockers” or similar “blocking” add-ins. Use the hosted web app, not the “local” one.
  4. if you are located in one of the non-suported countries (or your VPN is placing you virtually there), then you cannot use the free streaming library https://support.plex.tv/articles/frequently-asked-questions-vod/
  5. After checking 1 – 4, take a look into your left side bar. At the bottom is a “MORE…” item under which you should find all of Plex’s streaming offers right at the bottom.
