I currently have a Mac Mini for my Plex server. I love it because I installed Chrome Remote Desktop on it and I can remote it, control it as if it’s a normal machine and download and transfer new content to the external drives.
But it’s a bit older and performance of just the computer OS itself is starting to slow. That and I am moving into a new house and really want the best option for me.
My needs:
- Can remote in from anywhere else and download/add new content (torrent client to external drive).
- Can stream 4K locally.
I use the Plex server to stream video both locally and remotely.
There are so many options and nothing seems to scream the right fit for me.
