I cannot get the systems to work as I expect

I am at the end of my understanding and the below is a summary of my position. If anyone can help me get them talking to each other, please help.

I hope someone out there can help me. I am trying to set up a media server to hold videos for my disabled wife and am seeking to base it around a UGREEN NASync DH4300 Plus and Plex. I have got this far:

I have set up the UGREEN NAS connected by cable to an RJ45 port on the back of my BT Router. My W11 PC is linked to an RJ45 port on the back of the Router.

I have installed Plex Media Server on the NAS using Docker

On Plex Media Server on the NAS I have proved that Windows 11 can see and access it my dragging and dropping a couple of files from my desktop into Plex Media Server

I can access Plex on the NAS from my Windows Browser (Mozil la)

I have installed Plex client on my W11 PC but cannot link to the Media Server. The error message is ‘Media Server on NAS is currently unavailab le’

I have installed Plex on my Smart Samsung TV – cannot link

I would have expected to see the NAS Storage using File Explorer i n W11.

So – any thoughts please? Anything obvious wrong?

Are you accessing it from the local IP address, or app.plex.tv?

As far as I can see I can access Plex both ways, and I finish up in the same place - in a Plex window. When I burrow down into the menus systems under More> I get two ‘Plex Media Servers’ offered - one says ‘Media Server on NAS’ and one says ‘Plax Media Server on NAS’. Why Plax and not Plex I suspect finger trouble.

They both fail - one with ‘Media Server on NAS is currently unavailable’ and one with 'This page is empty and one with ‘Expecting more? Visit the Manage Libraries page to add folders and scan library files This page is empty’ Tried the latter - no help

Does that help with your thoughts?

It doesn’t sound like you actually have any libraries set up. When you said you could access the Plex server from your browser on the Windows machine I thought you meant you could play back the files you’d added to the server.
