I’ve been struggling lately with indirect connections to my own Plex Media Server - I mostly cast in my home using a chromecast, and that works fine. When I travel or try to access plex from elsewhere, I almost always get a “direct connection unavailable” status on my server, while other shared libraries from friends are fine.
The weird part is that the friends I share with are able to remote connect without problems. Just now I tried to access my server (I’m in New Orleans, my server is in New York) and got “Indirect” - I reached out to a buddy in Rhode Island, and he connected no problem - “remote”
What is going on? I thought I had a router/port issue, but if some people are getting indirect and others are getting through… I’m confused.
