Remote access is enabled with a green tick and says “Fully accessible outside your network”.
However, the connection is listed as “Indirect” instead of “Remote”.
I’ve been advised that this happens when Plex’s centralised server can’t connect to your Plex instance and is an issue on Plex’s end. When it fails to connect to your instance it wrongly thinks there is some kind of firewall preventing direct access. Since the port on my Plex instance is always open, this should never happen.
Additionally, this started happening since Plex increased the centralisation and removed the option of connecting directly to your own instance. I’m hoping that Plex can fix their ping servers so that “Remote” connection is enabled.
Besides this, are there any workarounds to resolving the “Indirect” connection issue?Previously, I’ve tried to restart the server and it seemed to have work but currently, the problem still persists even after I have restarted the web server multiple times.
