I can't see all my Movies

Server Version#: 1.18.9.2571
Player Version#: 4.22.3

Hello, I don’t understand why I can’t see one of my favorite movie … Ensemble cest tout (2007).

I verified Agent parameters and made a good arborescence (D:/FILMS D:/Series)

Thank you for your help

Best regards

Could you share the specific files names / structures for that movie?

Hello , yes here is the result : D:\Films-serie\Films\Ensemble cest tout (2007).mkv

I also don’t see D:\Films-serie\Films\3 Zéros.avi

Are those videos linked to a movie or tv show library in Plex?
For a tv show library, Plex will ignore all videos that don’t have a season/episode complex (checking, because you’ve named the folder “Films-serie”).

The names should actually be ok for a movie library (assuming your library is pointing at D:\Films-serie\Films\).

D:\Films-serie\Films for Movies library

D:\Films-serie\Séries for Series

And they are into Movies Library

I created a new Library “Other video” and I can see them … Why I couldn’ see them into “Movies” ?

Works for me in a test I just ran. I use English so I get the English title.

Check your agent settings.

Here are my agent settings

Does the movie maybe show with a different title?
You have not set the library to show Localized titles.

You could sort your library by when you added the movies and check if there’s an odd record in Plex that could show instead of the 2 actual movies.
Alternatively you could double-check if there’s items reported as duplicates where one record could combine multiple movies.

Considering the movies seem to be named ok and you’re using a movie library… they should show (the agent settings should only impact how or as what they show).

One more option… did you by chance previously remove those movies from that library from within Plex?

OMG , I got them haha ! I’ve checked Localized title and they appeared !

Thank you very much ! One more question how can I have titles in french ? Because I thought that it was set in French for me no ?

That’s what the flag in your library settings is for.
That being said… so far I didn’t have any issues, so no chance to test how Plex behaves with that checkox unchecked (so I’m not sure if it’ll use the original title instead?!)

Which flag ? Localized titles ?
I’m pretty sure that I’ve unchecked this parameter when I was doing some test and it wasn’t working before this change

I’ve some titles in french and some in english , If Ichecked this parameter Localized title it should put all titles in french ?

thank you for your help

best regards

You need to keep ‘Localized Titles’ checked.

Another thing which could influence the display of titles: you have ‘Local Media Assets’ in the top position in your agent configuration.
If you happen to have mp4/m4v files, their ‘Title’ meta tag which might be embedded in these files will override anything else.
So you need to drag the line ‘Local Media Assets’ lower, under all these categories:

  • Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB
  • Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase
  • Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
  • Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase

Also something to note. “Localized” means to the local language of your OS. So make sure your Windows language is also set to French.

Of your library.

Done , same issue should I delete a cache may be ?

Library in french

This is not the language setting of the library. Go up to the ‘Général’ tab.

Edit your library, and verify that the language selector is set to ‘Français’.

Now, Refresh Metadata on one or several affected movies.
