i have google chromecast

also must i use the Plex organizing of my files ? i just want to cast files from my pc

i dont need “organiisation”

Use an “other Videos” library if you don’t want plex getting metadata and such

Cast is only available using Chrome

with Plex can i cast other media file types besides those limited ones supported by Chrome?
they only allow MP4 and another one .

if so how do i do it ?

i see no option for “other Videos” library. When i go to “settings-library” there is nothing there but options. no files or folders

You need to create a library. One of the types of libraries you can create is an Other Videos library. Creating Libraries | Plex Support

If your computer you have Plex Media Server is installed on has a decent processor, which most modern ones do, then the server will transcode incompatible files on the fly to something compatible the Chromecast can play.
