I don't understand how Watchlist is supposed to work

I have tried to make use of the Watchlist feature, but some items do not show up after being added, and I cannot figure out why after reading the documentation and searching around.

Within the same library using the Plex Movie agent, one entry will show up after being added and another won’t. Both are matched with a TMDB entry, fully synchronized, and I also tried to rematch and refresh metadata on the entry that won’t appear, but nothing changes.

The entry that won’t appear is still labelled as watchlisted after revisiting the entry in the library. I can remove it and add it again, but it never appears in the actual Watchlist, nor does it show up in a generated RSS feed.

I suspect it has to do with the fact that it’s not available for streaming on commercial platforms, but I haven’t seen any indication that this is required, and if it were, I’m sure there would be a way to disable it in the Online Sources section of the settings, but there isn’t.

Can anyone guess what I’m missing?

Please show the content of the first guid="... XML property in an affected movie’s plex media info XML.

Here is one example: plex://movie/5d7769ecad5437001f76c1f0

Which movie is this? Is it rated R or X?

It was not released in the US. Is that the issue? This entry is a children’s short film from the 1950s. I was also able to reproduce this with a feature released this year, which is also unrated in the US.

Please show me the link on TMDB or better IMDb.

Here it is: Kitten's Scribbling (Short 1957) - IMDb

I can reproduce. Most likely it is the missing age rating.
I have created an internal ask about what the intended functionality is.
