Here I think I finally got it to get info correctly I did it a different way to get the Black and White Info… I also added the color version on here as well this is correct now. Sorry for the confusion…

Your info looks correct. Both videos are tagged with the proper Edition info and are properly matched. So your server is correctly seeing the files.
I think the issue might be Plex Web. What version of Plex Web are you using? If you are using the one that comes with Plex Media Server, that does not support showing the Editions information. Use https://app.plex.tv to see them properly. To make them a collection, edit the movies and add a name to the “Collection” field.
I’m using Version 1.30.0.6406. I see it showing up the part im not seeing is this below. I renamed the poster but below it both says Heidi in the naming convention but should they also say Color and the other Black and White is this supposed to be this way?
I Also Notice that when I play Plex on Google Chrome on the Computer or Edge it will show up like the picture above. If I play it on the App on Samsung Smart TV it will show the name with Black and White or Color to it. Is it just not set for Chrome or the Edge browser is there another browser that works better for Plex? Im using Windows
That’s the server version. The Plex Web client has a different version number.
Click on this “General” to see the version number.
The one further down is for Plex Media Server.
This is the Web version. Version 4.87.2
This version number shows that you are still using the local web app.
I just connect strait from my Plex server by opening plex server and left click Open Plex… is this server one behind? is there away to update this?
The local web app is meant for the initial set up (and for access in case of an internet outage).

The local web client (the one you connect directly to, such as by opening the plex server and clicking open plex) is always a few version behind the hosted app.
I wish They can keep this updated. Please Moderators and Plex Admins keep this updated. Please please.

The Plex Web that comes with Plex Media Server is typically a stable release. This is so users will have fewer problems using it. Updates would require updating PMS, which can take time. We will update the bundled Web eventually, but for new features you should use the hosted Web.
Thanks for the help. I hope it gets updated because there are a lot of great new features that has been added, It would be great if the server version was updated. Keep up the great work on Plex. It keeps getting better and better I think since I joined. Some new ideas have been implemented. I’m also hoping Plex can at least loop the TV theme music since you can only play 30sec of it because I guess legality. Looping the theme music to play over and over again would be a great idea if that is possible. One other thing is it possible to have a function to make all of Movies or TV show played or un-played? I hate having to keep marking each show, season or episode played. I want to be able to press one button to do all of it if I want.
I disagree. It would be a horrible idea.
Use multi-selection to mark at least a few dozen at once. [HowTo] Selecting multiple items for edit, playlist, etc.
For a specific use-case: if you disable the “Guest” account and then re-enable it, all “watched” status of this user is reset.
Then maybe take a pole on users and see if looping the theme music would be nice to do and see what happens. I still think its a great Idea no offense.
I like that Idea but… This still would take to long. Cant there be another button in the menu to “Mark whole library Watched” or Mark Whole Library Unwatched" function key.
More than a little off-topic from the OP, but looping theme music (especially the automatically downloaded stuff from Plex) would be the last thing I’d want. I’m not usually on the pre-play screen long enough to let it finish the 30 second sample anyways.
I quite often throw an MP3 file into the folder named theme.mp3 for movies and TV shows. Local theme files aren’t limited to 30 seconds, you can make them as long as you want.
Honestly, I don’t see the use case for this, unless you are using Plex in a way which goes againt its T’s&C’s.
I know through talking with Plex they say you can only do 30sec because of legality, But if your looking through a season it just stops. after 30sec when your still going through the series unless you go back in again. Looping if even possible anyways would be nice so people can still listen to the them song until they select the episode they want.
