I have a new hd homerun duo box, apple tv4, plex app but can’t see any live tv on plex app on the Apple TV via the plex app? it must be something very simple that I am not seeing? I bought the “channles” app which works like a champ and when I access plex via a web browser I see live tv… but can’t find live tv via the plex app on my apple tv4? any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated

also when I try and load a v show via plex on a browser I get a message saying playback error unable to tune channel?

If Plex is working in a web browser, but not on Apple TV, maybe you should post in the Apple TV forum. You might find more relevant help there.

I think I found the answer… from what I can tell the plex live tv feature is only available on iOS devises, web browsers and android tv’s… not on the apple tv4 plex app itself… you can watch any shows that you have recorded on the Apple TV… but I don’t think you can schedule our watch live tv from the tv plex app?

Sounds like you don’t have the latest Plex App 1.24 on the Apple TV. https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/191469/plex-for-apple-tv#latest.

Thanks John! You were 100% right… the version I had was 1.5 I deleted the app and reloaded the latest version that has the TV guide etc on the side bar… even though my Apple TV was set for auto update it somehow was stuck with a early version of the Plex app… now my only issue is loading a channel? Been grinding away for a while now? But one step st a time… thanks for your help!
