My menu has Scheduled Tasks and then Extras - it is missing the Live TV menu item.

What are you running Plex Media Server on? What version of Plex Media Server? Perhaps a screenshot showing what you are seeing.
In Error have removed
@SE56 user is saying they have no Live TV option in settings. If they don’t have the option to configure Live TV & DVR they won’t have the Program Guide since a tuner device has not been configured to download program guide data.
