How do I fix this? I keep getting “We couldn’t reach a media server” when I sign into my account on my tv I have logged on logged in again and I still get that message on my account. But if a friend of mine logs in on his plex account it works on my tv why won’t mine do the same? I am seriously considering canceling my account

Mind sharing some more details?

  • What Plex app is this (e.g. Android TV, Samsung app, LG WebOS app…)?
  • Do you have a Plex Media Server of your own or do you want to access content shared with you by a friend?
    • If you have a server of your own… what version of Plex Media Server do you have installed?
    • Are your server / the tv app in the same network or do you have different subnets in your home
