Playlists are great. Smart playlists are greater. However in PLEX playlists are still pretty useless. I am proposing the ability to create a dynamic smart libraries. Here is a simple use case. My main “Movies” library houses pretty much all my films. With over 3000 films it can be a task to navigate. I would love to have the ability to create a smart library based off the “Movies” library that would showcase New Releases for example, films with release dates in the last 6 months. This would keep collections, related films, films with the same actors, etc. together across libraries much better and auto update based on the dynamic nature. It would be easy to create a Documentaries library just by creating a smart library with tagged documentary genre. The possibilities are almost endless…a top viewed films library, top rated…etc. All which can be shared with users the same as libraries can today.
