Plex has such rich metadata and sorting abilities, I thought it would be cool (and maybe relatively easy?) to add the ability for "smart libraries" based on the powerful filtering features...
My use case example for this feature: Certain clients (roku for example) while they support filtering, have a very clunky interface for dealing with it and sometimes it seems very inconvenient to access a commonly used filter time after time. The ability to create, say, a "smart" library that contains only movies added within the last 30 days to my server would be neat and add quick access to these filters. This is different than a smart playlist I think, because as I see it playlist cannot be shared between users. This would allow for a "New" library that could then be filtered for unwatched by different people in the house and even possibly tied in with parental controls.
