Ich habe eine Einladung und der Server ist blau angehakt, was bedeutet, dass ich zwar die Mediathek sehe, nicht jedoch das Medium abspielen kann, denn dann steht, “unable to connect to server”.
Das Ganze ist auf einem Sams* BR-Player als App, wenn ich einen 4K-Fi**-TV-Stick verwende geht es. Die Medien sind 720p / 1080p.
Intern im Netz geht alles tadellos.
Was bedeutet die blaue Farbe?

Der alte Orca Client auf diesem Gerät ist vermutlich ebenfalls von der Abschaltung von TLS 1.0 betroffen. Plex support is ending 2020-09-30 on older smart TV devices
Was bedeutet, dass der Client sich nicht mehr mit plex.tv verbinden kann.
Das wiederum hat zur Folge, dass die Nutzer-Authentifizierung (und Verschlüsselung) nicht mehr funktioniert.
Authentifizierung kann für lokale Clients umgangen werden, mit der entsprechenden Einstellung im Server.
Aber für entfernte Server geht das nicht.

I have 3 2012 Sammies, that are still working fine
Important is though, that in the PMS Settings/Network the setting Disable weak TLS versions is NOT selected
The TLS upgrade would cause your TV to be unable to auth. towards any PMS server, since it would fail at plex.tv, and clearly doesn’t, since some are green
Edit: And adding here, that it’s a matter of what TLS version the device supports, so a firmware update if avail is vital to the Sammie
And adding, that no idea what the blue color means, but just tested on a remote server, that was showing up as blue, and it worked nicely
The app might still work on a real Samsung TV.
However, I seem to remember that Orca said that Bluray players were never officially supported by it. They just “happened to work”.
And that these Bluray players have some differences to the TV devices. Supported TLS versions might be one of these differences.
