This app is the ONLY one in my Package Center that repeatedly, randomly just stops itself. I’ve posted logs and gotten zero help. This is obviously a known issue as others have posted about it before. So when is it going to be fixed. Having to go in an manually restart the app isn’t exactly how it should work.

And we’ve been through this already, it’s like I’m talking to a brick wall. THE PROBLEM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SCHEDULED SHUT DOWNS!!! NO WONDER NOTHING EVER GETS FIXED HERE. My god, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU???
I use Plex on Synology and don’t have any issue with the package stopping so it’s not something impacting everyone … I don’t see much in either this or the other thread providing technical info … lots of insults though… not very conducive to incentivize people to help you.
I am interested in seeing how this issue you are experiencing gets resolved - I learn from it myself - but it won’t get resolved without more technical details and less venting of your frustrations. Just take a breather… it’s just media software being stupid, not addressing clean drinking water.

Have you tried the recent version update? 1.22.2.4282 was released to public - lots of changes\updates from 1.22.1.
Have you tried a clean re-install of the package - completely remove it and re-add it? Synology is pretty safe with re-install of the Plex package.
Maybe some recent logs? Both from Plex and Synology?
What else do you have running on the Synology - not everything but maybe any other non-standard packages?
The technical details were provided in my first thread (linked here) that went unresolved, which seems to be par for the course. I am using the most current, as I just updated again today, but this problem has existed for me for months now, and as I stated, I’m not alone as a forum search brings up others with the same issue. Plex server is the only one of my packages that does this. The worst is when I’m out driving with Plexamp and Android Auto and it stops mid song. When I get home, I find the package has stopped. There are full logs in the original thread, again, linked here
Closing this thread. Will continue in the original. Plex Server (Synology) randomly shuts itself down since last update
