I'm into my local server BUT plex says I don't have it

  1. I installed plex in a container on my server. (Used this image)

  2. I Opened the IP:PORT in Google Chrome.

  3. Now I’m here:

Why do I have to download a server if I am onto my local server plex. I am litteraly in the browser in 192.168.1.1:32400, why does it sends me to the download page of a windows server version?

How should I add my local library?

This thing is driving me crazy XD.

By browsing it seems that no-one else is having this problem, am I so dumb?

Thank you very much in advance.

Are the Plex Media Server and the system from which your are accessing it on the same logical network, for example: 192.168.1.x? Depending on how you configured your container, they could end up being different. If so, use the “On a Different Network” instructions in this support article to perform the initial configuration of the server.

I know what you’r talking about and unfortunately that isn’t the case. Both machines are on the same network 192.168.1.x, the mask is /24 and they are correctly identified and handled by my dhcp server. :pensive:

There is a separate procedure to claim the server when in a docker.
