I'm lost, what happened to PMP

Server Version#: 1.18.2.2029-36236cc4c
Player Version#: didn’t find it, downloaded yesterday, so must be the latest

Hi

I’m running plex on the latest mac mini I bought last year.
I use this mac mini just for plex, music and other media, connected to my TV.
After having some trouble with the update to catalina, I had to clean install the macOS again.

So I downloaded the latest version of PMS and PMP
Apparently I can’t put the PMP in full screen mode anymore, and I don’t mean putting the window in full screen, but the whole app, with its larger icons and texts. Is this version of the PMP gone, or am I missing something or should I look for a different PMP.

thanks for a little help
Enjoy the day

More than likely you downloaded the Plex for Windows / Mac app and not Plex Media Player which can be found here:

Thank you very much, this is what I needed

I suppose I will have to look better than this.

Have a great day, mines is ok again

No worries

There has been a lot of these posts lately (from myself as well) because the PMP download is not on the main downloads page.

I’m guessing it was removed when PMP was to be discontinued, but now that decision has been reversed it really would save some hassles if PMP was available on the main downloads page

Yes indeed, it is very confusing
Should I keep the latest download of the PMP, in case it is discontinued.
Or is it a certitude it will be kept.
Cause I really love the combination of the mac mini attached to my TV.
I suppose I’m not the only one.

Well, fingers crossed it will stick around for a while:

But it never hurts to keep backup copies of the downloads, just to be safe.

And there is a beta of V3, so it looks like development is still ongoing.

Great idea.

yes PMP should be put back on the download page and recommended primarily for dedicated home theater PC’s.
