A mod in IMDB.bundle to have the movie title in more languages
Hi,

I'm insert some lines in IMDB.bundle to have the title in the language that you select in the search windows in media manager.

You can insert that line below at the end of the update function

#************START ****************

#title in language (lang)
for titolo in movie.xpath('title'):
titoloLang = titolo.get('lang')
titoloName = titolo.get('title')
if titoloLang == lang:
metadata.title = titoloName
break

#************END ****************


Furthermore if you like to estract the original title insert the line below also (I like to have both and i use the tagline field to view in the plex player)

#************START ****************

#Original title
metadata.original_title = movie.get('title')
metadata.tagline=metadata.original_title

#************END ****************


I'm a new in python but seem work.

What do you think?

You should push your mod to the dev team.

2 ways :

  • Contact Elan with a PM and explain your mod. Easy
  • Go to github, search Plex and find the code of the IMDB agent. clone it, mod it and make a push to Elan. Not Easy but very Clean.

Don’t forget to PM Elan too with the second way. He is very busy so some requests could be proceed slowly.

I’ve just create a Fork in github with the mod github.com/corrado1968/PlexMovie.bundle



I’ll send a PM to Elan to explain my fork.

In github when your mod is committed you can send a pull request to the origin developer. Do it in github and then send a PM to Elan on the forum. Twitter is a good way to communicate too.

Hi all!



I’d like to try to install the mymovies italian metadata agent and I need some help.



When I download from github I can download a .tar.gz or a .zip file and then!??!?!

1 Download zip
2 Extract
3 Rename the folder with mymovie.bundle
4 put the file in plug-in directory
