[Implemented] Add IMDB ratings to new PLEX TV agent

Not many use TVDB’s or TMDB’s ratings and for many not popular or old series, one or two users’ ratings will not really give the right idea.

More users rate shows on IMDB than any other platform, hence this addition would be great.

Updoot! I currently hack in IMDB ratings via alternative, failure-prone mechanisms - having them directly in Plex would be dope!

I would like to thank everyone for voting this feature request. It gained nearly 150 votes in less than 24 hours. This shows how much people would like this feature added. Hopefully our moderators and Plex team members will raise this request to the devs.

I don’t think I ever got reply when I asked about IMDb ratings coming back. Hope this thread actually pushes the issue. I’ve been using this GitHub - mynttt/UpdateTool: A tool to update the IMDB ratings for Plex libraries that contain movies/series and use the IMDB agent to receive ratings in the meantime to set IMDb ratings which works great.

Dont really want to hack plex’s database and ruin anything. Will just wait for Plex to fix the data issue they’ve been facing with IMDB ratings.

Upvoted, been waiting forever for this feature. TVDb/TMDb ratings are unfortunately useless and trying to sort TV shows by audience/critic rating is impossible as a result. Just as an example, when sorting by audience rating in my TV library, Breaking Bad doesn’t even make it to the top 50 although being the 3rd highest rated on IMDb. I used to fix the ratings manually in the past but with the new Plex TV Series agent, that has of course been disabled. :cry:

Since this feature is already available for movie libraries, I would think implementing this for TV shows would be rather simple. People have been asking for this for a long time and I am honestly baffled as to why it hasn’t been the default from the beginning. Please add this feature, it’s an absolute must have.
