I would really like to be able to specify the order my libraries appear on the sidebar in the Preview app. Right now they are alphabetical, but I would like to put them in order of how I use them.

You could just rename them to fit what you want. If you have libraries named:
Movies
TV
Music
Home Movies
And you want them in the order:
TV
Movies
Home Movies
Music
You could rename them to:
1_TV
2_Movies
3_Home Movies
4_Music
And you will have what you want.
Of course that does not mean that manual reordering should not be allowed but it is a workable solution until and if that is implemented.

Not sure if this has been requested again since the last post but I just want to chime in and say that this is something I really want. I have a lot of libraries and I’d love to be able to reorder them without resorting to ugly naming conventions.
I pondered over this tricky and complex issue for a good 10 minutes - then it hit me.
Beauty, ultimately, is in the eye of the beholder and as I behold my libraries I can see some areas that could be more beautiful, but at the rate I’m adding libraries (and HDDs) it won’t be long before I can re-evaluate the situation. In the end it’s going to be a lot better for me to do something about the layout than an empty wish (and a prayer that they won’t) Plex will somehow handle that for me (with no user option to refuse).
