Re-order PMS Libraries & Playlists

Currently PMS displays Libraries and Playlists in alphanumeric order (not including music). I would love the ability to reorder them to my liking.

 

Current library organization:

 

Documentaries

Movies

New Releases

Restricted

Short Films

TV Shows

Variety

Music

Same with playlists. I have experimented with numbering 1 though 8, spaces and hidden characters. Unfortunately the results have been undesirable. I would love the ability to do this. Thanks.

Me too.

I used to do 1 - TV Shows, 2 - Movies etc but that was just annoying.

Wouldn't mind this myself, although generally more customisation is a must for most parts of Plex. +1

I would also like to add Plex Home users to this as well. Would be nice to have my KIDS only and Guest account displayed directly after the Admin account.

I would love to have the ability to order the libraries, most used is Movies and TV Shows, but must scroll past many others to get to what I want on the Plex Media Player.

I’m surprised so few people want this. I did find another request from the year before this one was posted.

There is a workaround:
Edit your libraries’ names.
put ‘space’ characters in front of their names
The library with the most space characters is displayed at the top.
(Most Plex clients filter those spaces out when displaying the list of libraries)
