[implemented] Feature Request - Remove from OnDeck Button

Please give us the ability to select items on deck and have them removed. there is a button to marked as watched and a button  to marked as unwatched but no remove from on deck button.

I don't know how often someone in the household will randomly watch shows and now a tv show is on deck in the middle of the season. To remove it I have to mark the entire season watched or mark the entire season unwatched. If I don't it suggest the next episdoe till the end of beginning.

Please for the love of god add a button that allows us to remove items on deck along with the same buttons that allow us to mark it as watched or unwatched

Agreed. Remove button good idea.

I currently think 9.8.10 has a bug where it won't remove a mid-season even if you 'watch it', fast forward to end of video, let it play for 10+ seconds, then FF to end.

It gets marked as watched, but doesn't remove from OnDeck, nor does the next ep. show up.

I've got a mid-season show right now that I've not been able to remove, and I've seen the entire series already.

I would really really like this feature. How many times I am opening a file to test something... (I think I test more stuff than actually watch movies/series :D) and I would even like a button to remove everything from the On Deck section.

I do the exact same thing, I test files all the time and my ON DECK is ridiculous. Its enough to drive me nuts.

Yes please! For the same reasons already mentioned!

Maybe I don't understand. You can already do this. Why not go on your file On Deck and use Mark as Unwatched? That's solves what you want and that is what I do everyday. You make it unwatched and it's removed from On Deck.

Zodler, though a work-around, your idea then makes it also appears in the Unwatched list.

I'd hate to have a show from a previous season that I went back and watched just a few minutes of to look for a detail or remind me of a scene in a current season now appear as unwatched.

We'd just like the option for remove from ondeck, not having to mark it as watched or unwatched.

Oh OK, then in that case you mark it as watched. What's the problem in that case? It's no work around. It's the real deal. Depending on what you want you use marked as Watched or unwatched.

I just mark it was unwatched and it removes itself.

This. I've got one or two shows that won't remove themselves no matter how I mark them.

I've no idea how the On Deck system works, but watch/unwatch/watch isn't working to remove them for me.

I agree that it would be nice to have an add/remove from On Deck button but would also like to be able to set a whole section to not be included in On-Deck ever... This is useful for things like Home Videos and Instructional stuff  that I might randomly look at once in a great while but don't want showing up on the "front page" all the time.

+1 yes this would be great!

It would be great to be able to exclude complete sections. I have separate sections for music videoclips, now they are just annoying populating on deck.

for whole sections, when you set them up in plex, you can see ALL music don’t show up on DECK

I’ve never watched past 3 episode of season 1 Humans. My wife watches it (not on my profile, mind you) but as soon as Season 3 started Humans has refused to leave my On Deck.

Looks like I’ll have to begrudgingly mark them Watched one-by-one for a few weeks until it goes away.
If only there was a button to Remove an item from On Deck.

bumping this, my own post got closed for doing raising this again (my bad)

Do we know why this hasn’t/cant be done?

The cartoons my kids accounts are watching show up on the On Deck on my user, even though my user has the entire series unwatched. Please add some granularity to the OnDeck controls.

I’d very much like to see this too.

  • Marking episodes or entire shows/seasons as Watched or Unwatched is not a solution. I want the episodes I haven’t watched to remained marked Unwatched. Because, y’know, I haven’t watched them!

  • Re-watching a random episode of an old show causes the next episode to show up On Deck, though I’ve no plans to watch the next one again.

  • A show with new content airing currently will show up On Deck even if I don’t want to watch the show at this time.

Ideally, I’d love the ability to set the On-Deck cutoff individually per show. Shows at my default setting call fall off On Deck after 30 days, shows that work with current events like The Late Show can be set to 2-3 days, shows I want to always be there can be 999, and shows that I never want to see On Deck can be set to 0 or something.

But without that, just a button that says “exclude from On Deck” would be great. That would be enough!

This has been a feature request since 2013 and the feature not being implemented is mind boggling. The functionality for this already exists under the advanced settings in Library “Weeks to consider for On Deck and Continue Watching” so clearly implementing a simple one click button to do the same thing isn’t out of scope.

This may be of interest: Universal Continue Watching (experimental feature)
