I agree, I can’t count how often I have said yeah I need to watch that movie/show and finally when I have have time I totally forget about it, and cant find anything to watch, I would also like to have it in a bar like “On Deck”, honestly this would probably be the easiest feature to add, even though most people would never notice it
What’s the status of a watch list? To have a “+” or “Add to Watch List” when you’re browsing through movies or shows would be so natural of a feature, after using all of the streaming services that have that ability.

This is the best thing I have read on here! Thank you! It is a cornerstone of every other streaming app out there, but our favorite streaming platform has been missing it all this time. Although the feature is in the Plex-hosted Movie & TV Shows… which now at this point it seems like the lowest hanging fruit!
I requested this in Jan 2020 but guess noone cared for the idea then, hopefully someone will finally get around to coding such a simple addition…
From the company point of view it’s not always that simple because sometimes there are many parts involved. Plex already confirmed that the feature is coming. That’s good enough for me even if it still might take a while.
Is there some aversion to getting this done? Far more useful than “Remove from continue watching” which for some reason got added. I know I have posted numerous times about adding this and every other person who has as well have gotten votes. Granted they don’t all end up in one post but the organization of suggestions is a bit cluttered (all parties involved at fault)
I’m not sure what else to say. Votes does not guarantee any suggestion getting done, and they might not be done in the exact manner being requested. Votes only serves as a guide

Make sure to use the hosted web app or latest versions of the other clients. I’ve seen there’s some issues in the Android client that are being addressed.
There should be an Add to Watchlist menu item in the context menu of an item – and an icon to add it to the watchlist when you’re on the item’s details page.
I suspect that’s because it’s mostly episodes on Continue Watching? You should be able to add shows and movies to the Watchlist though.
actually, I can add from “recently add movies” but not from “recently added TV”. Could you check that?

It’s the same thing… if you only added a few episodes or single seasons, Plex will show an episode or season in Recently Added. If you have an actual TV Show record, you can also add that to the watchlist.

It would be great if there were also a way to either share the Watchlist with other users (e.g., Home members), or export it (or parts of it) as a file.
Implemented yes but might receive some setbacks? Reading feedbacks from users recently and even past users on this thread hinted or expecting to be Watchlist for their PMS, while the Watchlist we have is not limited to PMS but also includes streaming info. Since as of now we can’t hide those info, have little doubt if everyone will consider it fully implemented (I am personally fine btw).

Not sure what you mean. Universal watchlist has just been released and should be available using the latest Plex clients. The version of Plex Web bundled with your server will eventually also have it… just use https://app.plex.tv/desktop and you should be able to use it.
