In the WebAdmin, it would be cool, if you when doing a multi-select of movies, could mass add them to a label, just like you can add them to a collection.

Yes please.
Hm. I think everyone with more than just 50 items in their library needs this.
can't use this Multi-User-Feature at all, without being supported by "mark-items". At least not with any benefits. Because i'm not going through 800 Movies and 80 Series one by one...
So please, this is a major issue..
And by the way, the whole "Edit"-function should be supported inside "select-items". Because this way we can finally edit multiple Genre's of a bunch of Movies. Because let's face it. Thats again a major lag of functionality.

Definitely on our list, but most people should have content ratings in their library which are usable. What's the scenario where you need to use labels for hundreds of movies?

IMHO, the following:

One of the first things I did was sort by rating and the attempt to select a bunch of stuff to tag it. So a Big +1 for me

Thanks for answering.
Restricting by ratings is really good for kids. Thats of course a great thing.
But the scenario for me would be to have a single Movies library for me and my wife. That library has 800 Movies and i want to pick out the ones for my Wife. And then restricting everything inside my Wife's Account to her own label.
As soon as this is possible (with multiple items), the only thing i'm missing here are the same restriction options for the Owner.
And maybe an "Administration-View" for disabling these restrictions temporarily.
Because either i have again a second Movie-Library for my Wife and the Movies I don't like and don't want in the main-library, or i have to create another main-user for me. which of course wouldn't be a PlexPass-User :/
But thats a bit off-topic, i get that.
Adding Collections as a filter to "My Home" is a good idea

But a scope creep for this thread, so not altering the first post....
You got your own one for that Req, and I already liked that ;)
Golden rule here.....
One Req. pr. thread

Short response: I too would like to add labels to many shows/movies at a time.
Longer response:
I agree, and this is a HUGE step forward. But frankly some shows/movies "official" rating is too lenient (ex. tv show The Unit is rated PG whereas I feel it should be at least TV 14) or unrated (documentaries). Should we change official ratings to suit our own opinions? Should we edit shows to add ratings to unrated shows? Perhaps and in an ideal situation yes, but this would most likely involve LOTS of individual edits which is time consuming with large libraries for immediate user implementation.
By allowing edit multiple shows or movies (like the existing "add to collection function"), we could edit multiple by label to alleviate some of the growing pains.
Another option would be to have sharing restrictions, that would override the content rating share (ex. TV PG is shared, but add restriction for user to not share "The Unit"). Again, being able to edit multiple shows/movies to add restrictions would be a HIGHLY REQUESTED.

I would like to see an option to edit a mass of files like genre. There is comedy, Komödie, fun, humor which is all the same or psychothriller, psycho-thriller, Psycho Thriller, thriller, Schauerfilm and Schauergeschichte which is nearly unusable to filter, because the Samsung App for example can't filter more than one option. It's not possible to filter for unwatched & 2014 or to see all thriller movies to combine all above tags. So I started to rename all genres to Thriller but I gave up to do it one by one after 2 hours and probably another 7 hours to go...
Because some movies rated PG are ok, and others are not. And most movies rated G are ok, but some are too intense for my kid at his age and what he's comfortable with.
So essentially you can't count on ratings to be something that everyone agrees on. They are suggestions after all anyway...
So having a mass edit ability or allowing folks to just use collections as well as sharing labels would solve the issue.
thanks for reading!

As a parent with younger children, I am OK letting them watch PG rated movies, but ONLY after I watch it with them first to explain what is going on, good, bad words they shouldn't say, older themes, etc... Once they have watched that movie, I am OK putting it in their list. That being said, I have a LOT of movies that fall in that category, and it sure would be nice to do it as a batch...
I do the same thing with my kids. That is why i have a separate library for them. Right now it is much easier for me to manage the files than dealing with filters.
As soon as I add a rating restriction to an account, all of the movies disappear. When I'm signed in under the main account and create a filter with the same restrictions roughly 400 movies show up. I switch over to the other user account and it says there are 0 movies. I'm having this issue with both movies and TV shows.

::face palm:: Thanks, and now done ... How was this not the first thing I did upon reading this thread? Silly me
This is a must have and as an extension to restrict to label, how about restrict from label in addition? Like a blacklist/whitelist, I'm sure this would solve alot of issues with sharing large libraries until full multi edits are available.
Along with the labels, it would be nice to be able to change genre on mass scale. I hate the genre that are pulled from the metadata sources. I don't really want Action, Action film, Action Thriller, Action Adventure, Action/Adventure, etc. It's nice to be descriptive but almost always they are never the way I like them to be. I want to tag a film with Action and Adventure as separate tags so there aren't hundreds of genre combinations to go through.

Content ratings don't apply to my 600+ home movies that are just of my family etc.... I keep them all in 1 folder for simplicity, but I would love to share particular ones with family and friends.
