I was wondering the same thing
For anyone using a combination of Home Movies and home sharing by restricting to labels, this feature is a must.
My daughter is restricted to "family-friendly" labelled items - I have been through my 700 movies and 150 TV shows and labelled the appropriate ones accordingly. A bit of a ball-ache and time consuming, but I did it because a small percentage of movies are suitable for her to watch (she's 5). However, to allow her to see all 800 of our family home videos I would have to edit each video individually!
So I would LOVE to see this feature sooner rather than later :-)
Any word from the Plex people as to when this is going to happen? This request is now almost 6 months old!

Hm, so I see that selecting multiple items works in the movies library, but doesn't work in the photos library. If we could do multi-select using ctrl-click for pictures, that would be an absolutely killer feature. Pretty please!

Selection is available on photo libraries, but not yet on photo albums. Do you see the select icon (the square) on the left action bar in your photo library view?
It doesn't look like you can apply labels to photos anyway, so kind of defeats the point.

So is this considered resolved/added? Do i need to submit a separate feature request for "excluding" labels? multi/mass labeling does not solve the situation where you'd want to label a single or couple movies and have it only show for a specific user(s), as requested by a couple of people in this thread.

It's not futile, but it's not a trivial amount of work. Would definitely be helpful to know it's a popular request :)
I was quite surprised to find that this does not work for photos yet. We should be able to batch label edit photos and/or photo folders because labeling each Photo individually is not on option.
Additionally, there’s no label filter when using “home videos” or “photos” libraries - so it’s impossible to track which photos or home videos are currently shared.
In order for Plex to be an alternative to Dropbox/OneDrive for sharing Photos and Videos with Family Members over remote locations, these 2 features need to be implemented.
I’ll +1 for photos, I currently use the label-based sharing for allowing family and friends to see photos of the kids but not the rest of my collection. Doing that by hand per-photo is laborious - implementing it at the folder level would be amazing.
