Many user, many devices and used in lounge for main viewing…
When watching on the main tv my wife always falls asleep mid episode/film for this reason it would be great to extend this idea to include a shared account to allow the following:
- on pause: menu becomes available with option(s) "Bookmark for ". Use up/down arrow keys to select, or just unpause and menu gets ignored
- on starting playback: "Resume playback for at "

+1 one. Totally agree. 4 users, and we’ve end up setting different servers in our kid’s computers and our media centre, thus losing the benefits of a centralised server!! No point in three servers for four clients…

This seems like a great idéa.
Make the viewed movies and tv shows and so on myPlex account bound and not server bound.

Especially now the mother-in-law has access and keeps marking my stuff as watched!
Now this is the best of both worlds, brilliant idea to have it like this....personally I didn't want to loose resume but can see the value in 'joboy's' idea of implementation....

+1 from me too. I’d like to see this combined with more granular user access controls. I might not want to give someone access to an entire section – let me pick individual folders/shows or media to share.

Same here, I'd agree with this approach.
This makes a heap of sense and could be made to work parental controls as well, solving two problems in one fell swoop.
