How is this not 50 pages of posts?
This is probably the #1 feature I’d like to see added. Both for those accessing the server locally and remotely, a way to track separately per-user the watched vs. unwatched state.

I’d like very much this feature…
Adding my vote to this list! Visiting parents who watch too much TV can really screw up a viewing history.
i too wish this existed.
+1 for me, we have 3 people in the house that all watch the same content at differing times. It’d be great to preserve all our episode watched statuses.
Would be nice also to identify those movies and episodes that everyone likes, but no one has gotten around to watching
+1 for multi user mode! Would just be nice to have so people don’t mess up my viewing history
+1!
A bit of refinement:
It’d be nice to be able to switch users on the fly, say with a hovering dialog, from any point within Plex. From a database design perspective, I think to do the multi-user feature and be able to switch users on the fly, every user would have to share the same library, just their own table of watched flags. This would be ok with me (I don’t want multiple library configurations) but maybe not for others? I could see some benefit to having the ability to configure different library sections for different users, just not necessary for me.

I dont want my 5 year old start watching Dredd that’s for sure.
+1 - would be good if at the end of playing you could mark, ‘Who watched it’ that way if you watch things as a family / couple you have all seen it and its removed from everyones to watch list, if just one person watches it, its removed from their list. Tie that in with plex sync so you can watch things whilst on the road and not effect the wifes/families watchlist and you have yourself a killer function!

keep R movies from the kids and X movies from the family.
Ratings password protection at the least and mufti user would be ideal!

Currenly I am making specific folders for specific access to content. But this is hardly good enough for the future as there is no accesscode.
