It’s very surprising this hasn’t been implemented yet, considering the main core needed to implement something like this already exists and could be achieved in a minor update.

The space I used in the mockup is simply dead space, it doesn’t get used and there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be used now. It looks, and works perfectly with the new Modern Layout too!
I certainly don’t speak for everybody, but I don’t need anything complicated or “advanced”. Something as simple as this would literally be perfect for the “majority”. Some may call it a “Half Baked” implementation but this is literally all we need. A simple way to switch between versions, that are tagged using the already existing tagging mechanic.
